Systems Integrator (strong Java background)

We have an immediate requirement for an experienced Systems Integrator with a strong Java backgound to essentially design and implement Document Imaging (scanning) and Enterprise Content Management systems (Hyland OnBase).   These systems will be based on the Windows operating system. As part of any implementation development may be required hence you will be able to write serious Java and VB programs and demonstrate at least 3 years of Java based analysis, design and implementation.

Primarily the candidate will have experience in the following technologies and one or more of the programming disciplines:

Technology Experience

  • IBM Content Manager and IBM Content Manager OnDemand
  • WebSphere
  • Hyland OnBase
  • FileNet
  • Documentum
  • Hummingbird
  • Kofax Ascent Capture

Programming Experience

  • 3 Years Software development experience
  • Java (J2EE)  (Essential)
  • JSP
  • VB or VB.NET (Essential)
  • C#
  • Korn Shell (KSH) (UNIX, Perl)

This position may lead to a Senior System Integrator position.  The position may also include the ability to work abroad on long-term projects if desired and will most likely require the successful candidate to undertake technical projects in both the British Isles and also outside of the UK so a willingness to travel is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • To meet with customers and to determine customer business requirements and understand how technologies can address their requirements
  • To provide clear and concise documentation as to a customers business requirements and the proposed Integritie technologies to address these requirements
  • Undertake solution sizing and services estimation
  • Undertake software implantation, configuration and testing
  • To maintain a high level of technology awareness and to invest personal time into keeping abreast of IT trends and specifically Enterprise Content Management technologies and market requirements
  • Provide informative and accurate daily project update emails and to maintain a site log whilst working on technical projects
  • Maintain a high level of Integritie product knowledge so as to enable a high degree of ‘billable’ project assignment
  • Undertake self managed annual ‘Objective’ task activities
  • To perform work to a high level of professionalism and in a timely manner
  • Maintain a high level of software development skills primarily around web development languages such as Java, C# and .Net in order to underpin system integration requirements
  • To undertake project assignments in both the UK and abroad including countries such as USA, Canada, Bahamas and mainland Europe when requested
  • To work away from home in the UK when requested (normally excludes weekends)
  • To support other members of the Integritie team in order to perform skills transfer and general project assistance

Daily/Weekly Duties

  • Daily email updates
  • Weekly timesheet updates
  • Weekly expenses records
  • Project site log completion and submission (to manager and customer)
  • Monthly expenses receipt submissions

Waterlooville, Portsmouth, Hampshire

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
General

  • Strong communication skills with a clear and articulate voice
  • Ability to communicate easily and comfortably on the telephone plus also face to face with customers
  • A strong degree of technical awareness so as to communicate technical concepts and solutions to customers and also understand customer’s technical solution requirements
  • Able to work as part of a team plus also at times independently

  • Highly motivated and willing to undertake self learning to enable the rapid understanding of Integritie solution offerings
  • Keen to update product knowledge on an ongoing basis
  • Willing to travel when required for both national and international projects and to potentially spend time away from home

Technical

  • Enterprise Content Management technologies such as IBM Content Manager, IBM Content Manager OnDemand, FileNet, Hummingbird, Documentum, OnBase
  • Software programming experience with languages such as Java, C++/C#, XML, Visual Basic around the .Net framework
  • Kofax Ascent Capture installation and configuration experience
  • Hyland OnBase
  • AIX, Unix, Windows 2003 and XP
  • HTTP and Web Application Servers
  • Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM)
  • Experience in working with databases and a proven knowledge of SQL commands
  • AIX (pSeries) Architecture, installation and configuration
