Norwich Union ‘cashes in’ with another solution from Integritie
Integritie has designed, developed and supplied Norwich Union Financial Services with a cheque processing solution. The custom solution draws upon Integritie's vast experience with document imaging and recognition expertise to provide an automatic OCR and ICR application that automatically extracts cheque information such as the amount in words and digits plus also the date of the cheque and also remittance slip information such as account number, payment reference and amount. Once scanned and information extracted Integritie’s solution enabled Norwich Union’s Financial Services department to perform cheque and remittance slip reconciliation with final information and image release to the line of business application.
Any anomalies are corrected using a one click corrective GUI allowing for the correction of a cheque or remittance amount in 2-3 seconds. This has reduced the cheque handling cycle by a factor of days expediting fund clearance.
